president kikwete visit ,denmark and south africa


President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete has left the country for Denmark and South Africa on official visits. According to a statement issued yesterday by the State House in Dar es Salaam, President Kikwete left on Monday night by KLM to Denmark, where he was expected to attend a three-day meeting of the Denmark-Africa Commission scheduled to kick off today. President Kikwete is a member of the commission which is chaired by Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen. Youth and employment in Africa would be among key topics expected to feature in the meeting. The meeting will also work on the commission`s last report. President Kikwete is also scheduled to hold talks with Danish Shipowners` Association chairman Peter Bjerre-gaard. According to the schedule, President Kikwete would leave Denmark on Thursday for South Africa, where he will attend the swearing-in of presidential candidate Jacob Zuma, following his party\'s victory in the April 22 general elections.
